Murphy’s Law is a technically a law of science that applies to everyone, no matter the circumstances. The law states that anything that can go wrong will go wrong. It sounds simple, but it’s very accurate believe it or not. Procrastination is a great example of Murphy’s Law at its finest. For example, I had a mid-term for my Geography lab recently and I was told about it two or three weeks in advance. However, I decided to wait until the night before to study for it and ended up with a ‘D’ on the midterm. Since I waited so long to start studying for it, I was destined to screw up on the test. The reason for this was because of Murphy’s Law, like I stated before. Is there a way to get around Murphy’s Law? Well yes and no… Technically, there is no way to get around Murphy’s Law because if something is suppose to go wrong then it will. However, if there is something I know will go wrong, but I can prevent it from happening by preparing better, such as studying for a midterm a week in advance, then I can avoid the repercussions of Murphy’s Law. No matter how much we may say, “nothing can go wrong at this point”, there will always be a way for something to happen. It’s just science and there is no way around science.
